“Wheresoever you go,
go with all your heart.”
Set on 4 acres in rural Metchosin, A Growing Place offers preschool aged children an opportunity for exploration of both the natural and social world around them
The centre is lucky enough to be surrounded by parkland, which lends itself to daily exploration of the natural world. Farm animals such as miniature horses, goats and rabbits are a daily experience for the children as well.
Kindergarten readiness is ingrained in our everyday routine, but the main focus and goal of the centre is to provide children with the social and emotional experiences they will need to thrive in the larger school environment.
The centre is licensed for 8 children with one ECE educator, who has been practicing since 1995.
A half day program is offered and parents can choose the days that best meet their needs.
“Whether we're a preschooler or a young teen, a graduating college senior or a retired person, we human beings all want to know
that we're acceptable, that our being alive somehow makes a difference in the lives of others.”
~ Fred Rogers
