"When children pretend, they’re using their imaginations to move beyond the bounds of reality. A stick can be a magic wand.
A sock can be a puppet. A small child can be a superhero."
~ Fred Rogers
Welcome! Established in 2005, A Growing Place has provided the children of the West Shore community a place to come and play, learn, build friendships and explore the natural world in a safe and nurturing environment.
The small group size of 8 children ensures individualized attention and provides children with a wonderful introduction the a group setting.
A Growing Place is licensed to provide care for children ages 30 months to school age.
The program runs 9:00am-1:00pm and parents are able to choose the days that best suit their needs.
Why come to pre-school on the farm?
Children thrive in a farm environment. Children and mud are a harmonious fit! Exposing children to a rural environment allows them the opportunity to freely explore the natural world without the worries of busy roads and other safety concerns. One of my favourite moments is watching the children run through the 2 acre field. The freedom and independence this brings can easily be seen on eight happy little faces.
Why is A Growing Place so special?
A Growing Place is a unique early childhood program with space for eight children. This small group provides children with a gentle introduction to the group experience and allows for more individualized attention. The small group fosters close and lasting friendships between the children. The four hour program ensures that children have the time and space to move through the daily activities in a relaxed manner.
